Challenge: The 2020 election was unprecedented. With claims of fraud undermining voter confidence, we needed to address widespread anxiety and promote participation in the democratic process.
Strategy: Our digital campaign for the Carter Center focused on clarity and reassurance. We explained vote-by-mail procedures, highlighted the security of ballot counting, and used everyday scenarios to combat misinformation. The visuals – thoughtful animation with a neutral color palette – helped convey trustworthiness.
Results: The campaign quickly gained traction:
Over 4 million social media impressions in just 10 days.
A 98% video completion rate shows how well the message resonated.
Campaign Videos
Our civic education strategy centered around two animated videos. “Exercising from home” was released before the 2020 election and communicated to the public our elections were safe and secure while presenting the many options they had to vote. “Waiting up“ was released after the election reminding our audience of the extra time it would take to know who won and the why counting every vote was important to our democracy.
